Investigative Engagement Tiers
Flexible, professional investigative support tailored to your organization’s needs.
Every client we serve — whether a nonprofit, a law firm, or a public agency — requires a different level of investigative involvement. To support this reality, Chibuzo Boyo Services offers a set of structured engagement tiers designed to provide clarity, predictability, and professional investigative support across a wide range of matters.
Our engagement tiers outline the type and depth of support, not rigid hours or public rates. This allows us to tailor each engagement to your specific needs while maintaining a clear, predictable framework.
Base Engagement
Targeted Professional Support
Designed for organizations with focused investigative needs, such as single background investigations, limited-scope fact development, or review of one primary matter.
This engagement typically includes:
- Foundational investigative support
- Targeted background or fact-finding assignments
- Clear written findings suitable for internal or legal review
- Direct communication throughout the engagement
Best for:
HR departments, small nonprofits, or attorneys handling isolated investigative needs.
Standard Engagement
Broader, Ongoing Investigative Support
Created for organizations managing broader or ongoing investigative needs, including multi-step reviews, litigation preparation, or more complex matters.
This engagement typically provides:
- Expanded investigative support
- Multi-source fact development
- Wider document or witness review
- Periodic updates and consultative guidance
- Structured reporting aligned with legal/administrative standards
Best for:
Law firms preparing civil or administrative matters, nonprofits undergoing internal reviews, or agencies requiring compliance-level rigor.
Premium Engagement
Comprehensive, Priority-Level Support
Our most comprehensive tier, designed for firms and institutions that require reliable access to investigative support across multiple matters or extended periods of time.
This engagement often includes:
- Priority access and scheduling
- Broad investigative capability
- Support across multiple matters
- Enhanced reporting options
- Integrated administrative services (e.g., process service, when appropriate)
Best for:
Busy law firms, larger nonprofits, and government entities with recurring investigative needs.
Custom Investigative Program
Designed Around Your Organization
For organizations with unique, high-volume, or specialized requirements, we develop fully custom investigative programs.
This may include:
- Large-scale background screening initiatives
- Multi-matter litigation support
- Ongoing compliance or oversight investigations
- Case-specific investigative models
- Nonprofit or agency-wide risk management initiatives
Every custom engagement begins with a professional intake assessment to define scope, objectives, and required capabilities.
Professional Intake Assessment Fee
Professional Intake Assessment – $75 (Credited Toward Any Engagement)
Before any engagement begins, we conduct a structured Professional Intake Assessment for new matters.
This assessment includes:
- reviewing your investigative needs
- clarifying scope and objectives
- identifying risks or constraints
- recommending the appropriate engagement tier
- outlining next steps and anticipated timelines
The assessment carries a $75 fee, which is fully credited toward your account if you proceed with an investigative engagement.
Cancellation Policy:
The assessment fee is refundable if the consultation is cancelled at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled time, or no-shows, are not refundable.
Rates & Transparency
All proposals include competitive, fair, and transparent rates that reflect the scope, demands, and professional standards of the investigative work required. We do not publish rates publicly because matters vary widely in complexity and required effort, but every client receives a clear explanation of pricing before any work begins — no surprises, no hidden fees.
Why We Use Engagement Tiers Instead of Public Rates
Investigative matters vary widely in complexity, urgency, and documentation requirements. Publishing rigid rates on a website does not reflect the professional judgment required to scope investigative work responsibly.
Our engagement tiers:
- provide structure without limiting flexibility
- allow for tailored proposals based on actual need
- maintain competitive discretion in a specialized industry
- protect clients from overpaying for services they don’t require
- allow us to deliver premium work without commoditizing it
All pricing is discussed directly, in context, after the Professional Intake Assessment, ensuring that each client receives a proposal grounded in their real needs.
